East West Railway Co (EWR Co)
Established as a stand-alone company on 14 December 2017 to manage restoration of a direct railway on the Oxford – Cambridge axis. An initial phase is rehabilitation of former freight-only lines from Bicester and Aylesbury to Milton Keynes, followed by upgrading the existing Bletchley – Bedford line.
